Love this little man. These 10 years with him have been wonderful. He is smiley and patient. I love his cheeky jokes and cheerful personality. He makes us grin with the funny comments he makes. 

Happy birthday Ammon Jack , it's a blessing to have you as part of our family. 

I prepared a little afternoon tea party table for Ammon ,Josh and Ben. Fletch was at rehearsals for his school musical, Gil was doing good work at Maccas Rosny and Tony was in Washington DC- waaaaah !  :) 

We will have another family dinner birthday cake soon and Ammon would like a party so I'm sure there will be cake there to. Tis always good for me to have more chances to redeem myself from past cake disasters - no one seems to remember the great cakes I made !! :)

Stay tuned. 2015 might be my amazing cake year ... Maybe :)?

The backyard

Just after we moved into Montagu Manor, I noticed that the block behind us was ..... Empty!!!! Yep. Eeeeek. A whole block of land ... Spare ... Waiting ... For our boys to play in !  I said a silent prayer asking that if possible could we have that land one day. I told Tony about it. He wasn't interested :)  I asked the man behind us who owned the land if he would be interested in selling it. He said he might be but nothing eventuated. Until one day I spied 2 " For Sale" signs in the street. One was for the little house adjacent to our house and the other was for the vacant block. More eeeeeek !! I quickly expressed to Tony how we needed to look at buying our new backyard. Turns out that we have bought them both. We are renting out the little house to a lovely lady who has flowers in her windows already and the backyard is being enjoyed by our boys for soccer, cricket and camping adventures. 

I feel so grateful. Wishes do come true and prayers are answered.

Cousins

Lovely to hear them chatting about Storm Bay and sails as they read the Richard Bennett book together. 

New bed

Ben is staying with us. It's a treat to have him in our home. He is good and kind , patient and calm. Aunty Chloe gave us her spare bed and Fletch set it up for Ben today. Josh took some time to relax on it and read his new detective kit book. It's a lovely lazy Saturday here at Monty Manor :)
