Pineapple Guava

Today we went to the Botanicals.
We fed the cheeky duckys,
rode on the carousel,
took pics of the apple trees in Petes vege patch(I want Tony to grow ours along wires like they have at the patch)
climbed trees
Aaaaand
SAW PETER CUNDALL!!!

Ammon was racing me to the car and he won! Peter Cundall had parked just behind us and he was impressed with Ammons great running and so he thought the winner deserved a prize.He gave us 2 pineapple guavas(one for Ammon + one for Josh who was looking on with great interest as to what his brother had just scored)
Peter Cundall confessed he had pinched them from the garden..but he said he was allowed..I agreed.

yum! they smelled so sweet and tasted Yum.
how exciting.
thats it ! Im buying his book tonight

waiting for the mudcake

so much for a blog break ...not even 24 hours haha :)
anyway

Ammon was helping me make Berns best Mudcake..soo good so much butter sugar and chocolate,which is why it tastes so good
He said to me
"Mum can you put this in the newspaper?"
I asked why
he replied
"well you can say ,Ammon is doing such a good job making this cake "

so im putting it on the blog...close enough :)
here he is waiting for it to cook.
I just showed him this pic..he said
"is that on de newspaper?"
aaaah its a good day
staying at home in saggy tracky dacks, cooking mudcake and Blanches slow cooked butter chicken.
yum.
but wipe memory of the amount of butter in each b4 eating!
and work it hard on the run 2morrow

A birthday party recipe

Have Helen organise your next birthday party.
She is THE QUEEN of fab ideas and amazes and blesses us all with her talent.
She made each of the party goers a chefs hat and personalised apron.

Groovy Man :)

This was great fun.The stake dance before Conference .We danced the whole night away :) My legs were actually aching the next day :)

Brons (oh and Tony's) Vege Patch :)

Yes there are marital discussions about who planted what and who is not looking after the others babies :)
But mostly we are lovin this ole vege garden at Seven mile beach.
The possums havent noticed or perhaps they are sick of zucchini..note to self..1 even 2 seeds is fine...NOT 8 !!

everything is coming up well and we are basking in the flavour and feeling of self reliance.
I think perhaps mushroom compost and sheep manure being at the root of it all has helped coz we just dug up the lawn and piled it all in there .
:)
but enough of the chatter.you want pics huh :)
another note to self..the years of self portraits are nearly over :) lucky one was blurred
:)
so remember ,next summer, get your zucchini seeds and tomato plants in and you will feel like a genius
