Honey Badger for afternoon tea.Yaaaaay! So delish and lovely to spend some relaxed time together while Ben and Laila had a visit with their Dad.

Josh wanted to be sure I recorded that he dominated Ammon at chess :)

I had such a fab birthday. I wanted to have dinner at Pasha's with friends and family and I was so glad that this is what happened ! Thanks for babysitting Jas :)

Thanks also to all my lovely family and friends who came to help celebrate. 

I received some super cool , cute and girly gifts.

Party Time

Mike and Kim had a lovely 10th Wedding Anniversary party with the best face painter and the yummiest mud cake. Thanks sooooo much guys. Loved it ! 

Roller fun

School holiday fun at Woodys Skate and play. 

They loved it and they can skate really well. Good job guys. Alex came because Ben was at Grandma's ( and because Alex is a top friend ). 

Thanks so much to Mission Australia for providing such a great activity. We were invited through the "Grandparents and Relatives raising children" group. I am very grateful for their support and kindnesses. 

Melbs

Gil and I had a fun couple of days in Melbourne. 

First on our list was the DFO which was perfect for Gil's Converse requirements and our general shopping hopes. 

For lunch we headed into Melbourne Central for Tex Mex ( good choice Gil) and of course more shopping.

 We met with James,Ange, Tylah and Ashton at good ole Burgers and Ribs Craigeburn for dinner, with Yogurtland for dessert as is tradition. 

Gil and I went to the Temple the next day. Note to self.... check the session times to avoid an hour wait in the temple :) Anyway our early arrival was nice and relaxing and gave me to time to stop and enjoy the peaceful spirit of the Temple. Thanks for your patience on this Gil :)

I really enjoyed our time together and I am so grateful for the blessings and power of the Temple. Love you heaps. 

I liked  the colours and pattern :) 

Such a cool guy ! Fab to spend time with you. 

And we finished our trip with a delicious Adriano Zumbo treat. Yuum! Gil chose the "Aye Bro Choc munt" ! Sooo good and so exciting to finally try one of Adriano's creations. 

Monday Morning Mayhem

I'm actually pretty happy with my life. Laundry is an important work for me and I wanted to capture these loads to record the mountain I will conquer today !! A sense of accomplishment thats for sure.

Eternity

Gil and I had a really fab trip to Melbs. 

A Temple visit was our main reason for going but we had some fun along the way. We scoured the DFO , had dinner with James , Ange , Tylah and Ashton (love you guys soooo much ) shopped some more in the city, enjoyed some yummy food and completed some family Temple work. 

I felt soooo blessed to be in the temple with Gil. He was so patient and willing. He didn't have to wait toooo long to do baptisms this time :) 

I KNOW our lives will continue after we die. I KNOW our family members are grateful for the work we do for them in Temples here on Earth. I feltthe sweet   assurance of this in abundance today.

Waiting Room Reading

I did tell them all to bring a book because I knew it would be a bit of a wait at the dentist this time,but Josh forget his in the last minute scramble. Oh well , he was able to get started on his Old Testament reading :) 

Ammon had actually remembered his book, but he thought it easier to peruse Laila's home readers instead :) 

Well done guys. You were very good to wait so patiently. 

Love Fills The Soul

We enjoyed the installments at Dark Mofo again this year , but a bout of croup and Tony in China meant we didn't make it to the Winter Feast. So I thought we would have our own. 

Roast Beef dinner and butterscotch pudding for dessert. 

Fletch and Gil scoffed some roast beef before racing off to have hot dogs at the Priesthood meeing. Apparently the Priesthood meeting just isn't the same without a serve of hotdogs to begin with. Tradition + the best of both worlds huh :) 

We didn't quite manage a halogen sign, but these are our versions of the Dark Park arch slogan :) 

Heartwarmer

Some things really warm my heart and big brother helping little brother is one of those top of the list type heart warmers. 

Ammon has begun work on a school project based on the novel "Holes". Gil loves wire craft and actually Gil's grade 10 wire art was the inspiration for Ammon's project, so it was such a joy to see Gil sit down with Ammon ,as soon as he arrived home tonight, and begin helping him make a man from the wire.
