I ain't afraid of no ghost !

I
Happy Halloween breakfast tradition in its second year and going strong. A fun and easy way to enjoy some Halloween treats. It's all over by 9am and they can take their sugar high to school :) - sorry teachers.
I would like to say there was pumpkin smoothie and pumpkin muffins topped with pumpkin seeds on the menu but alas good ole waffles with homemade jam and cream are the treat of choice from these Williams boys.
I love the book " Happier at Home" by Gretchen Rubin and I thank her for this breakfast celebration idea.
Yes it's American and yes commercialized but if it brings a smile to their faces and a memory to their heart then its worth it. Besides we believe in hallowing the eve and day when our dear loved ones departed from this life. We know their spirits live on and perhaps visit us from time to time. We will see them again them one day. Good ghosts rule !

Finishing Seminary 2014

As I sit to prepare my final lesson for 2014 I am feeling very blessed but it also feels quite surreal.  It is very true that the days are long but the years are short !
As I have prepared  lessons and taught Seminary throughout the year I have experienced many emotions - pure bliss , inspiration , peace, joy ,comfort and strength.
There have also been many moments of exhaustion , worry , frustration and stress.
But all these things have given me experience and been for my good  (Doctrine and Covenants 122:7)
The good has far outweighed the struggles.
I have been guided by the Spirit of God every step of the way.
I know I have been teaching the Lord's Gospel to the fine young students of Rosny ward. I am SO proud of them and it has been my absolute privilege to spend time with them each school morning this Seminary year.
I hope we will always remember the wonderful truths we have learned this year as we have studied the Book of Mormon. It surely is a book for our day. It is full of wisdom that helps us be happy and safe.
May we always look to our Saviour Jesus Christ. He is the light and the life of the world.
I know He lives !  I love Him ! He is wonderful to me !

Just 2 chiln

Fletcher was in Launceston at UYC (Ultimate youth convention for Church ) We had sent him up on the bus.
Gilbert was in Japan on a school trip and it was a holiday in China which meant Tony could have a few days off work.  So Tony and I and the l'il guys thought we would have some fun outings together. Loved it !

We took a drive to Launceston and stayed at the Country Club.  Dinner was a delicious buffet complete with chocolate fountain. The following day we explored lovely City Park where we rode the small train a couple of times, saw the monkeys and enjoyed a relaxing lunch on the cool lawn bean bags.
We had a few places on our list to visit but the skies were so blue and warm that we stayed outside as much as we could.  A quick trip to the museum Phenomena Factory was fun too. T'was a treat spending time with just 2 children :)
Love those socks Joshy :) luv u. Very stylish :)
