How To Tuesday !

sorry Kris couldnt resist :)

Q.how to make your life look better than it actually is ??
A. have a Blog

:)
xx
B

hold on....let me explain :)
after a conversation with some dear friends about the land of Blog , the ole guilt trip was weighing heavily so I thought I would give you a mental tour of my home and life this day
:)
you aint getting pics coz its way too ugly :)

visuals!!
Front door has something smeared on it
3 baskets of washing in corner of kitchen table
another dumped on the kitchen table
washing up on sink
something stuck to the stove top from last nights dinner
floors need a mop/vacuum/new carpet etc :)
compost container overflowing
laundry basket overflowing
more clothes (clean and dirty)on the floor in our bedroom..why exactly do we have cupboards??
MORE dirty clothes behind pretty much every other door :)
the contents of the sock basket covering the office floor
dont even imagine the boys rooms upstairs after school holidays and not much cleaning up
ok you get the picture and Im thinking its possibly a little like your place sometimes ?? please tell me yes :)

daily life!
I saw an article recently entitled...
"How to have peace in your home ?..develop laryngitis !"
sooo true.our boys will testify to this(me needing to catch laryngitis that is )
I think I need the next book...
"Being a joyful Mother of children."
I mean I AM joyful..when they finally fall asleep!
haha
(in case future generations of ours read this..that would make blogging totally righteous - being for family history and all that)..I had better say...
I loove our family and looove being a Mum.I just need a whole lotta improving EVERYDAY.
so although I love to share the fun things we do together ..they are just that..the fun things !But you can rest assured that we have days where family night is a "fight that opens and closes with a prayer " :)
and
there are a whole lotta photos I dont post coz I look TERRIBLE !!
:)
and I'm GLAD Tony is going on another overseas trip..and he's GLAD to be getting away from me for a bit :)
and
our house is a mess and I'm stressing about everything and this hasn't even scraped the surface !!
haha

so for next weeks " How To Tuesday" we will discuss...
Q.How to ensure your house stays in the mess it already is in??
but we already know the answer ...
A: spend all afternoon writing a blog entry!

hugs n smiles

apologies in advance for "way too much reality !!"

Sometimes we all need a shot of reality. You know it took me ages to figure out it wasn't that everyone else had perfect lives, it was just that everyone else blogged just like me - telling the exciting things (which are always the good things, right!) Who wants to relive the mundane drudgery of life??!!

So now when I read a blog post I think "everything has a season, Helen". That's what I told myself when I got jealous about your fantastic mothering skills (when you took the boys outside). ;D

I LOVED your reality check today. Maybe I need to do one too. I forget that maybe I may come across as super woman to some people (super woman who gets speeding fines all the time).

I guess because blogs are just photos and words, they can never appear how it really is, even when we try.
I want to see your 'ugly' photos... It would make me feel better about my place (if you've seen my family blog it has several trashed house photos- dont look if you're OC with the cleaning-, photos of kids with cake mixture all over their faces and clothes etc. I figure they're the photos we'll look back on and laugh at or say 'remember when..' )

Blogs are fun to read, but reality is better :)

I read your list and was saying 'yep, check, me too, got that, ooh yeah the compost container!'

Maybe I should stick on my garden blog all of my garden failures, show all the mildewed leaves that I'd cropped out of the pic, or the vege patch that hasn't been weeded in almost 18 months.
Blogs suck for self esteem really don't they. Yours is great though. It's never been a "look what I've got!" kind of blog because that's not you.
Now off to get some pee out of the carpet.. urgh! (not mine!)

I love that i only read positive things..its sort of a lift. I look at it like well if Bron can do that maybe i can improve that in my life...do you know what i mean?? No offense but if the blogging world was about who had the most washing....BORING:/ So keep up the positive posts:) Love ya. Noey xoxox

P.S. but i dont want people to think that i have a perfect life...coz i dont. BUT i will focus on the better things:) Im going to shut up:/

I have spoken to heaps of people about this topic. I'm with Hel and Chernoa. I like to read about positive things too and we all know that people have trials/hardships/worries/messy houses/loads of washing etc. but it's nice to focus on fun/happy things...even some of those mundane things can ber funny when caught on camera! And like Aim said, even when we try, it may never appear how it really is. That is with anything on the net really. So yes, keep posting the fun outings you have with the boys and any other exciting things like cleaning poo from the carpet...dont know how many times Levi's poos managed to seep out and literally FLOW into the floor!! :)

Great post! I often just have photos with a few comments on our family blog because I'm not a great writer. Really I SHOULD just share :s. Now to get the time to catch up on the posts!
