what was that i said about "mmmmm the food is amazing i love it!!!!"
hmmmm well right up to the point where it boils your belly and ya gotta go...RIGHT NOW !!!! HEE...and with the toilets here....its a worry...dont ask :)...too much info ..sorry!!
so yeah back to the starbucks and subway and immodium for me for a few days
I do actually love the food...perhpas not the scorpions..although they were displayed in a lovely way....just belly aches ...need some western normal for me type stuff..we even found a yummy juice bar.
oh and cute lil baby bottoms everywhere.. many dont use nappies...just a little slit in their pants looks like they buy the trousers or shirts like that not sure exactly how they manage it??
Beijing is looking good for the olympics.they have been working hard planting trees and flowers .I love it..love shanghai too but Beijing more touristy stuff to see.
we stopped outside the birdsnest.(olympic stadium) its awesome such an amazing design...clever stuff.
walked through the Summer palace.....huuuuuge.... a whole lake in the centre...beautiful painted temples,even blue skies..
buuuut ...the highlight(of course)...The great wall of China....had a great day at the great wall:) hee

oh and such a fun thing ...in shanghai one night on our way from a restaurant we came across a group enjoying their evening ballroom dancing.I was excited to watch as i had heard all about it.They have a loudspeaker set up and everyone just joins in and shows their stuff.we kinda hung to the sides and i watched their moves for a while then joined in,....man its actually a great work out for the legs...beautiful in the balmy summer shanghai nights...a great idea for a ward activity i thought and i hope and pray that soemhow the way will open for the Gospel to be preached in this land.
Josh has been a little Angel.5 months is the perfect age.Two bottom teeth have popped through while we've been here...sooo cute and i have even decided to give him some baby food and banana...helps me coz its very hot over here and hes been feeding heaps...he loves it.The travel hasnt affected him ,he can sleep when he likes and no seat belts/babyseats means I can feed him in the car as we go along.
so as this amazing experience draws to an end...i am grateful ..for many things :)

I'm so happy for you Bron. You have really deserved this 'special once in a life time' trip. So glad you have been able to spend some good quality time with Tone. I want to have a photo on the great wall of China!!! Maybe one day huh!! Bet you can't wait to see the kids... if they are still alive!! :-) Have a safe trip home.
