a little mining town in the middle of nowhere basically!Its on the way to Straahn.just so happened we were starving hungry when we got there and we were all a bit worried about what might be avaliable....Queenstown not really known for its culinary treats...after ruling out a couple of dodgy takwaway shops we found a nice clean pizza shop...and you know they make the best pizzas!best we have tasted in ages!!
check out the road.I drove down it..kinda scary ...but no Targa Tasmania corners for me.

I laughed when I read your comments about Queenstown. I was born and lived there until 15 years ago. I'm afraid only the very tough can live there, with very limited services, shops etc. It's only for hardy souls.
