This is what we were doing over Easter.
We had a nasty shock with lil Josh being very sick.I raced him to the hospital in the middle of the night and we ended up staying for 5 days.He had a bacterial infection of some sort but the doc said that babies of his age get sick very qucikly but they also get better very quickly thankfully this was the case for our Josh.It came and went before they could actually give it a name but didnt matter as the big gun antibiotic clears up a range of infections.
so after not wanting anything on his head from birth poor lil Josh had this hat on for his stay in hospital....ever tried to find a vein in little baby hands or feet??let alone put a needle in one!!!well after about 4 attempts to find a vein in Josh the doctor decided to put the drip in his head.there is a nice vein over his skull(as with most babies)looks bad but did the trick nicely.Lucky Tony arrived just in time to hold Joshs hand while this went in...i couldnt watch anymore...no general anisthetic for babies this age(they do use sucrose which helps natural endorphins kick in ...for half a minute:)!!!Josh loved the sucrose)Unfortunatley Tony had been travelling home from China that night and had to wait for his connecting fligth from Sydney to Hobart ,but he came to the hospital as soon as he got in.
oh and Josh is all better now..phew and thank goodness.
thanks to all our kind and supportive family and friends and for a very spiritually powerful priesthood blessing.

wow..... so glad Josh is better. Scary experience for you all, but thankfully all went well!
oh you poor things!! I'm sooo glad he's alright now, poor little sausage.
That doesn't look like a happy time at all - I am glad he got on top of it all quickly though.
